We are seeking a Supervisor Physician Assistant who will manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations for the PA team in the Internal Medicine Service Line.

Supervisor Physician Assistant - Internal Medicine Service | New York Presbyterian - Brooklyn Methodist Hospital

The Supervisor Physician Assistant will provide supervision and clinical oversight of the Internal Medicine PA Hospitalist team. The selected candidate will work under supervision of a Chief PA and Director, Dept. of PA Services to ensure all standard policies and procedures and credentialing guidelines are in compliance. The Supervisor Physician Assistant will promote a positive, nurturing and stimulating work environment for all staff. In conjunction with supervising MD and Chief PA, the Supervisor PA will conduct performance related reviews and metrics. The Supervisor PA will also collaborate with the Chief PA to create and maintain the schedule, including managing overtime. Other responsibilities may include working with the Chief PA to recruit and hire staff, training of new and existing employees, and special projects as assigned. The Supervisor Physician Assistant also retains the ability to perform clinical duties in the Department of Medicine.

Preferred Criteria

-At least five years of experience as a PA with progressively increasing experience in hospital or healthcare leadership, ideally a history of medicine experience. Prefer active and engaged members of state and national PA organizations (ie: committee or Board participation).

Required Criteria

-Masters in Physician Assistant related studies

-NYS PA Licensure

-Current NCCPA Certification

-ACLS/BLS

-NYS Infection Control certification

-DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Salary Range:

$175,000-$210,000/Annual
