Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 school setting located in Saint Charles, MO. This contract role offers a structured schedule of 36 hours per week, spread across five 7-hour days, working closely with a diverse student population.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing individualized goals for students based on their physical therapy needs.
- Participating actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Providing direct physical therapy services tailored to each student.
- Conducting evaluations and providing quarterly progress reports aligned with established goals.
- Creating and managing a therapy schedule to effectively serve the caseload.
- Offering consultation and support to school staff as needed to facilitate student success.
The caseload will range between 30 to 60 students weekly, varying according to individual student needs and intervention time required. This role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, and a commitment to supporting student development through therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications or desired experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license and relevant certifications.
- Experience working in educational settings preferred.
- Skilled in developing and implementing student-centered therapy plans.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with families, educators, and administrators.
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with varied student abilities.
