Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades K-12 for the remainder of this school year, with the opportunity to continue through the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract-based position offers the chance to work closely with students at various developmental stages, helping to shape their educational journeys and provide critical support where it’s needed most.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience teaching or working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with colleagues, families, and outside service providers
- Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Adaptable and creative approach to problem-solving and student engagement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities
- Provide direct instruction, support, and accommodations as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments, monitor students’ progress, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and ensure appropriate modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals and objectives
- Support students’ social and emotional growth alongside academic development
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date student records and documentation
