Overview
We are seeking a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient interactions, ensuring exceptional patient experience, and maintaining accurate patient information. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding, as well as excellent communication skills to facilitate effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
- Handle medical collections in a professional manner while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Follow Ampelis policies and procedures to maintain an organized system for medical records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with medical systems and processes is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal/non verbal, and written, to interact professionally and friendly with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage.
