Certified Nurse Midwife
We are seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife with a passion for women and newborns. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join an established collaborative team of 14 Physicians, 9 Midwives, and 4 locations. Our midwives practice in a full scope of care, including office visits and hospital shifts.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES*:
- Office visits include, but not limited to, low-risk gynecology problem visits, early pregnancy visits, prenatal and postpartum office visits, annual exams, IUD insertions, STD screening, and contraceptive management
- Hospital shifts include intrapartum care through delivery, triage, postpartum rounding, triage phone calls after office hours, and surgical assisting on cesarean section
- Surgical assisting experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Anticipated work hours: Approximately 2-3 office days per week with 1 24-hour call shift per week

EDUCATION:
- Certified Nurse Midwife as certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board
- Licensed RN in the State of Georgia required
- Licensed CNM in the state of Georgia required
- CPR required
- NCC preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer experienced CNM who has recently practiced in an acute care facility
- Will consider new CNM graduates with Labor and Delivery experience as an RN
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Basic competency skills as defined by the American College of Nurse midwives core competencies
- Ability to perform accurate history & physical exams
- Ability to perform accurate interpretation of electronic fetal heart rate monitor
- Experience with first assist with C-sections preferred, but we are willing to train
- Experience in a high volume practice with a mixture of high and low-risk clients
- IUD insertion experience is necessary
