QES is expanding, and we're looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing and developing modular HVAC systems for our custom-built Portable Electrical Buildings (E-Houses and PDCs). Our clients span global industrial markets, and your work will directly impact mission-critical electrical cooling solutions worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

• Design HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.

• Perform load calculations, ductwork layouts, and select HVAC equipment based on application needs.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including structural and electrical engineers, to integrate HVAC systems into modular structures.

• Assist in developing custom modular HVAC units and sourcing components for manufacturing.

• Create and review detailed engineering documentation and calculations to ensure systems meet environmental and heat-load specs.

• Conduct HVAC CFD analysis for cooling portable electrical enclosures (PDCs, E-Houses).

• Support sustainability efforts by contributing to energy modeling and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC design experience (industrial/commercial environments preferred).

• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Revit.

• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, mechanical codes, and system design best practices.

• Strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• LEED accreditation or experience with green/sustainable HVAC design.

• Familiarity with UL 1995 or UL 60335-2-40 standards.

• Experience using energy modeling and CFD tools.

• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or Associate (CSWA).
