Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers the opportunity to deliver specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse learning needs. The role requires collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student development across academic, social, and behavioral domains.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct special education instruction aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Develop and implement individualized strategies to support students academic and behavioral progress
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to coordinate services and foster inclusive learning environments
  • Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Participate in team meetings to ensure cohesive support plans

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license required
  • Endorsement in Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), or Autism Spectrum Disorders (ABS) preferred (ABS endorsement considered last option)
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Contract Type: School year contract (ASAP June 12, 2026)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Caseload: Approximately 22 students
  • Number of Openings: 1
