Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students within a full-time, onsite school setting in Woodbridge, Virginia. This contract position for the academic year offers a chance to apply communication and speech-language expertise to enhance student outcomes in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in evaluating and treating students speech, language, and communication disorders across K-12 grade levels
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed SLPs
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Support classroom teachers and staff with speech-language strategies
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel to promote therapy goals

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Virginia
  • Experience working with school-age children is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite during school hours as part of a multidisciplinary team
