Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathologist serving elementary school students in Virginia Beach, VA. The role focuses on providing speech and language services to a diverse group of students, including those exhibiting severe behavioral disorders. The position offers a supportive and collaborative team environment that includes a strong network of support staff to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans tailored to students' needs.
  • Work with students across Functional and Inclusion settings to support communication development.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to behavioral and educational planning.

Qualifications:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC).
  • Pediatric and school-based Speech Language Pathology experience.
  • Valid Virginia SLP license or licensure pending with the ability to activate by August.
  • Experience working with students demonstrating severe behavior disorders preferred.
  • SLPA experience in a school setting is a plus.
