The RN-Cardiac Tele role focuses on delivering specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions. This position leverages clinical expertise and certifications to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include collaborating with various departments, safeguarding patient confidentiality, and engaging in physically demanding tasks such as lifting and extensive walking. A valid RN license and certifications like BLS and ACLS are essential, highlighting the importance of professional accountability in the healthcare environment.

This role employs the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care. The RN maintains professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients and assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. Coordination of patient care with other departments is crucial, as is the protection of patient rights and confidentiality. Position Details:Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, adhering to all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in nursing is preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit or position, including but not limited to:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
      • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules)
      • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
      • Other unit-specific certifications as necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are required during each shift.
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job duties.
