The full-service laboratory in the material testing lab industry in the Portland, OR is looking for a Sales Manager / Customer Satisfaction Manager to join their office.
This position requires you to have previous minimum of 5 years work experience in lab testing industry. (Food or Agricultural, mineral lab testing is prefer). Also, this position requires you to manage teams, so having supervisor experience is must have.
Summary:
The key function is creating new business and organizing new business model at the organization. The Sales Manager / Customer Satisfaction Manager also over see the customer relations department and work closely with the lab team to make sure they provide the best solutions for each customer's need. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the sales and marketing function in an efficient and effective manner. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting the creation and execution of business plans that meet and exceed budget expectations.
Please note that minimum of 5 years experience in a lab service or lab testing in the food or/and agricultural industry sales is required.
Responsibilities for Sales Manager / Project Manager:
- Solicit new business opportunities for the company and identify sales opportunities to improve the corporate position in the market.
- Maintain strong relationships we have with our current customer listing.
- Implement account and/or category specific sales and marketing initiatives.
- Manage business relationships with assigned accounts and generate new business in alignment with our objectives and values.
- Support annual business and territory plans for assigned territories to achieve our annual budgeted sales objectives.
- Develop Sales & Marketing plan for next 1, 3, and 5 years.
- Prepare category and business reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve our category position.
- Report monthly sales reports on status of sales target, ROI, market/competitor’s trends to top management in the monthly meeting. Quarterly and annual trends report also required.
- Attend industry workshops; be involved with professional associations and attend tradeshows.
- Monitor competitive market activity, continually gather and communicate competitive information, prospect for new business and capitalize on opportunities available in existing locations.
- Perform administrative duties where necessary.
Qualifications for Sales Manager / Project Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in sciences field (Chemical or Biology Major)
- Minimum 5 years experience in outside sales in laboratory service industry.
- Minimum of 5 years supervising a team experience is must.
- Professional, positive and outgoing demeanor with excellent relationship building skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to deliver clear and concise sales presentations.
- Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
- Proficient with standard office Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Unquestionable work ethic and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Travel up to 40% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
