Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

This position seeks an experienced Special Education Teacher with expertise as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to support 3rd and 4th-grade students within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, individualized instruction throughout the academic year on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted, differentiated instruction aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize data to guide instructional decisions and monitor progress toward IEP goals and objectives
• Write detailed, data-driven Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs)
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Study Team, related service providers, and families to foster student growth
• Apply strategies that promote language development, academic success, and social-emotional well-being
• Maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education, specifically in Learning and Language Disabilities or an equivalent credential
• Experience working with elementary-aged students presenting diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and pliance requirements
• Proficient in behavioral management techniques and best instructional practices for special education
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families

Duration: Full school year contract
