Job DescriptionOverview of the Primary Care Physician Role:

The Primary Care Physician plays a vital role in delivering equitable, value-driven healthcare to Medicare patients within a collaborative outpatient environment that prioritizes quality. Key responsibilities encompass patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, and working alongside care teams and leadership to achieve optimal health outcomes. Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree, hold board certification or eligibility in Internal or Family Medicine, and maintain an active medical license and DEA registration. Preference will be given to those with experience in geriatrics and value-based care models.

Position Title: Primary Care Physician

Role Overview:

The Primary Care Physician is tasked with delivering effective and equitable value-based healthcare to local Medicare patients through our innovative network of neighborhood primary care facilities. Operating within a single medical center, our physicians are supported by extensive care teams, allowing them to concentrate on enhancing the quality of care rather than merely increasing the volume of services provided. Highly qualified individuals may also be considered for a Center Medical Director role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients at our local clinics
  • Lead, manage, and deliver primary care services
  • Prescribe and manage pharmaceutical treatments
  • Maintain patient data in Electronic Medical Records via Canopy and Greenway
  • Collaborate with regional and central leadership to achieve health quality objectives
  • Work alongside Practice Managers to oversee and guide the center's care team
  • Perform additional duties as required

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) program
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (or board eligible)
  • Active, unrestricted State Medical License
  • Current DEA registration
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship training in Geriatrics
  • Experience in treating geriatric populations
  • Familiarity with Value-Based Healthcare Models
  • Experience in collaborative settings to ensure positive health outcomes
  • Background in outpatient primary care environments
  • Bilingual skills where applicable

Expected Weekly Hours: 40

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation Range:

The anticipated salary range for this position is:

$174,070.00 - $374,920.00

This range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for all roles within the job grade applicable to this position. The actual salary offered will be influenced by various factors, including experience, education, location, and other relevant considerations.
