Job Summary:
The QMHP A/C provides clinical services to individuals with mental health needs, focusing on assessment, treatment planning, and support for both adults and children. This professional works under the supervision of licensed clinicians to implement therapeutic interventions, coordinate care, and ensure compliance with state and federal mental health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing psychiatric and psychosocial assessments for adults and children.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with licensed clinicians.

  • Provide case management services, including referrals to community resources, housing, and support programs.

  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions, such as counseling, skill-building, or supportive therapy, appropriate for the client’s age and needs.

  • Monitor client progress and provide documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and treatment planning.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal mental health regulations.

  • Engage with families, guardians, and caregivers to provide education, support, and guidance as needed.

  • Assist in crisis intervention and support clients during psychiatric emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

  • QMHP designation as per state guidelines for adult and child populations.

  • Experience in mental health settings, preferably with both adult and child populations.

  • Knowledge of evidence-based mental health interventions.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Training in trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, or cognitive-behavioral therapy.

  • Familiarity with Medicaid, insurance documentation, and community mental health services.

  • Crisis de-escalation and safety planning skills.
