Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree, active Physical Therapy Assistant license, and 1+ years Physical Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity delivering physical therapy services in a school-based setting for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. This position provides an engaging environment where your expertise will support students’ growth, development, and participation in the school community from August through May, following the district calendar.
You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive education team, making a meaningful impact on students’ daily lives, while working a steady weekday schedule with 37.5 hours per week.
Desired Background and Skills:
- Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license meeting state requirements
- Experience working in schools, especially K-12 settings, preferred
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt activities and plans to meet students’ individual needs
- Commitment to working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement prescribed therapy plans, supporting students with diverse physical needs
- Monitor student progress, documenting achievements and challenges
- Assist in developing and adapting interventions to encourage student participation
- Communicate regularly with supervising physical therapist and education staff
- Maintain accurate, timely records in line with school and state guidelines
- Uphold all school and ethical standards of practice
