Department: Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
Location: Hartford/Windsor, CT
Compensation: $169,855 $248,230 annually
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-person)

Position Overview

Athena Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Pediatrician to join its Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine department. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

The department is known for its strong team culture, supportive leadership, and high levels of provider engagement and satisfaction. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, and the position is eligible for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality primary care to pediatric patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic services
  • Collaborate with fellow providers to ensure coordinated and continuous care
  • Refer patients to specialists when appropriate
  • Participate in department-level quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using an electronic health record system
  • Deliver care that is culturally sensitive and responsive to patient needs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active or eligible for Connecticut medical license and DEA registration
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a community health or outpatient pediatric setting
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Recent graduates welcome to apply

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $169,855 $248,230 annually
  • Bonus Eligible: Productivity-based incentives
  • Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
  • Relocation Assistance: Not available
