Kitchen Accounting Analyst | Food Production & Distribution
Location: Bloomfield, CT
Pay: $22–$26/hour (based on experience)
We’re hiring a Kitchen Accounting Analyst to support high-volume distribution and kitchen operations.
If you’re organized, Excel-savvy, and comfortable working closely with accounting, payroll, and operations teams, this role offers stability, visibility, and long-term growth.
This position plays a key role in daily reporting, invoice verification, payroll support, and operational accounting within a cold storage food distribution environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare daily volume reports, weekly summaries, and monthly accounting reports
- Verify purchase orders and perform 3-way matching for invoice processing
- Review and reconcile staffing agency invoices for accuracy
- Support payroll processing (Paychex experience preferred)
- Maintain standardized reports aligned with corporate accounting practices
- Handle data entry, reporting, and accounting support as assigned
- Manage office supply orders and vendor communications for the kitchen and distribution center
- Collaborate with the Accounting Analyst Supervisor, Operations Admin Manager, and Distribution Center leadership
- Communicate clearly across departments to meet deadlines and resolve issues
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of accounting or economics experience (distribution or warehouse preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and meet strict deadlines
- Working knowledge of warehouse or distribution center operations is a plus
- Some college coursework in Accounting or Economics preferred
Work Environment:
- Office-based role within a cold storage distribution center
- Exposure to varied temperatures
- 60% travel requirement
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs
