Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students' mental health and learning needs as a traveling School Psychologist based in Blacksburg, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple schools, applying your expertise in psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments.
- Deliver professional development and training on mental health and behavioral strategies.
- Travel to multiple school sites as needed to deliver services effectively.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and interpreting results.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and IEP development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel between schools within the assigned region.
