As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Doctor of Optometry to join our team and carry on our tradition of outstanding patient care.
Role summary
The Doctor of Optometry will provide comprehensive eye exams and vision care services to a diverse patient population. This is a four-day-per-week position offering an excellent work-life balance, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to build meaningful long-term patient relationships in an established, supportive practice.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations including refraction, visual field testing, and ocular health assessments
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids
- Counsel patients on ocular health, preventive care, and vision correction options
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation in the practice's EHR system
- Collaborate effectively with optometric staff, technicians, and administrative team members
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted Oklahoma optometry license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Strong clinical skills with a commitment to excellent, patient-centered care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
