Job Description
The Lead Analytical Scientist – Chromatography will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting chromatographic method development, optimization, and routine testing at a client site. This role emphasizes hands‑on laboratory work, technical leadership, and collaboration within a cross‑functional team, with a strong focus on HPLC‑ and UPLC‑based techniques for protein and antibody characterization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine analytical assays with a high level of accuracy and compliance
- Lead development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chromatographic methods
- Design and execute novel separation and identification assays
- Perform separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies using HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, BioA/GX, and related techniques
- Develop chromatography methods including:
- Size Exclusion
- Affinity
- Reverse Phase
- Normal Phase
- Ion Exchange
- Hydrophobic Interaction
- Utilize DAD and FLD detectors to support analytical workflows
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team
- Support documentation, data review, and method lifecycle activities as required
Qualifications
- BS or BA in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on HPLC experience, preferably within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments
- Demonstrated experience with HPLC and UPLC method development
- Strong understanding of chromatographic theory and practical application across multiple modalities
- Experience developing and running both routine and novel analytical assays
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and detail‑oriented
- Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is on-site, full-time, Monday-Friday, First Shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Branchburg, New Jersey, are encouraged to apply
