Your Role as a Contract Home Health Occupational Therapist

As a Contract Occupational Therapist, you will provide skilled therapy services in patients’ homes to help them regain independence, improve daily function, and safely perform activities of daily living.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct patient evaluations and home environment assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders
  • Provide therapy focused on improving functional mobility and daily living skills
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and safety techniques
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Supervise and delegate care to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when appropriate
  • Document visits efficiently using AI-assisted EMR tools


Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Florida Occupational Therapist license
  • OASIS documentation experience preferred
  • CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Professional liability insurance is required
  • Workers’ Compensation Exemption or Occupational Accident coverage
