Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver expert physical therapy services as a key contributor to a comprehensive program focused on enhancing mobility and quality of life for a predominantly Native American patient population. This contract role, located in Kaibeto, AZ, requires a compassionate and skilled physical therapist dedicated to providing care across all age groupsfrom infancy through geriatricsand managing specialized clinics including wound care, prosthetics/orthotics, geriatrics, spinal cord injury, and assistive technology evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations and deliver treatments to both inpatients and outpatients, including weekend rotations.
- Lead and develop the physical therapy section, encompassing continuous quality improvement, risk management, and adherence to physical therapy policies.
- Engage in Joint Commission preparation and maintain accurate reporting, staff education, and participation in staff meetings and in-services.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team providing a broad spectrum of healthcare services.
- Ensure compliance with medical staff credentialing and core privileges.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Valid, unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in any U.S. state, D.C., or Puerto Rico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to fulfill all credentialing requirements for Medical Staff membership.
- Successful fingerprint clearance prior to start.
