Overview

The RN Health Services Administrator (HSA) Travel is a professional administrator who manages and evaluates the Health Care Delivery Program in accordance with State and Local Regulations; ensures medical, dental, and mental health program activities are based upon goals, objectives, aims, and policies and procedures of the company and the facility; and are compliant with ACA, NCCHC and State accreditation standards. This position requires travel to different sites to fill in for vacancies as needed.


Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate and improve the implementation and effectiveness of procedures and programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Oversee recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluations of employees, contractors and professional staff, as well as staff education and development programs.
• Ensure appropriate licensure, credentialing, and insurance coverage on all medical personnel, and maintain confidentiality and security of health records and medical information.
• Monitor and audit referrals, pharmacy use, inpatient hospitalizations, and potential catastrophic illnesses, and explore utilizing appropriate means of limiting both company and contractor liabilities.
• Promote Quality Improvement standards, attend seminars and conferences, and function as a liaison between other professional organizations, while accepting on-call status.


Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Experience

  • Delivery and administration of correctional medical, dental, and mental health care recommended.
  • Three years administrative, management and supervisory experience.
  • Sound decision-making skills are mandatory.
  • Organizational experience in operations and planning required.
  • Experience in Managing budgets and analyzing contracts preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the states of practice and the state in which you work, or a valid compact state nurse license
  • CPR certification.
