Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Benefits & Leave Administrator to join our team in Wayne, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in overseeing employee benefits programs and managing leave processes while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with employees, managers, and external partners to deliver exceptional HR services.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee a variety of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans.
• Administer federal and state leave programs such as FMLA, workers’ compensation, and disability, providing guidance to employees through the process.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment-related matters.
• Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, including background checks and orientation activities.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, benefit regulations, and organizational policies.
• Participate in employee relations efforts, attending disciplinary meetings, terminations, and performance coaching sessions.
• Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and organize development initiatives.
• Lead open enrollment sessions and educate employees on benefits options, ensuring accurate processing of elections.
• Work closely with third-party vendors and brokers to resolve benefits-related issues and oversee plan administration.
• Monitor and document completion of mandatory training programs, certifications, and continuing education requirements for employees.• Proven experience in benefits administration and leave management.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, such as FMLA and workers’ compensation.
• Familiarity with employee relations practices, including disciplinary procedures and performance coaching.
• Proficiency in onboarding processes, including conducting background checks and orientations.
• Expertise in coordinating open enrollment and benefits education sessions.
• Ability to maintain compliance with employment regulations and organizational policies.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with employees, managers, and external vendors.
• Strong organizational abilities to track certifications, mandatory trainings, and continuing education records.
