Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact at a location near Hayward, CA, working 32.5 hours each week with a collaborative and supportive special education team.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials
- Previous experience within school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each student’s needs
- Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to support Occupational Therapists and work effectively with teachers and other school staff
- Compassionate approach to working with children of varying abilities and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering OT services and executing IEP goals for students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Implement activities to help students develop fine motor, sensory, self-care, and daily living skills
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district standards
- Participate in meetings, offer input for student progress, and communicate regularly with the educational team
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages student independence and growth
