This position offers a competitive hourly base wage, overtime during high-volume months, and additional earning potential through a team-based piece rate system.
How Pay Works
- You earn a competitive hourly base rate, plus overtime pay when applicable.
- Certain tasks (such as covering stacks or silage piles) are paid by piece rate, based on dollars per square and linear foot.
- Each task has a specific dollar amount associated with it.
- Total earnings on a task are split evenly among the team that completes the work.
- At the end of the pay period, you are paid whichever is greater: your hourly earnings or your piece-rate earnings -- guaranteed.
This means there’s no downside to piece rate, only upside.
Earning Potential
- Piece rate gives motivated teams the opportunity to increase their effective hourly wage.
- Team piece-rate earnings typically increase earnings by 25–35% overall during high-production periods.
- During peak months, expect significant overtime opportunities.
