The Functional Analyst will support and enhance a new SaaS-based rating and account management platform for an emerging business at the organization. The role serves as a liaison between product, user support, engineering, and finance to manage the platform, support releases, and improve processes. The analyst will research functionality inquiries, manage enhancement requests, monitor billing activity, and translate business needs into technical deliverables. Experience with billing concepts, general ledger integration, and reporting is required to ensure operational and financial alignment.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. W2


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between product, user support, and engineering/development teams.
  • Manage the SaaS billing platform and coordinate feature enablement.
  • Research functionality inquiries and document findings.
  • Log, manage, and prioritize enhancement requests.
  • Provide support for billing system releases and upgrades.
  • Compile data and produce reports to monitor billing activity.
  • Assess system performance and recommend process improvements.
  • Identify, document, report, and track system issues.
  • Support translation of business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables.


Experience Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in functional analysis, business analysis, or product operations.
  • Experience with billing and financial concepts including subscriptions, rate plans, charges, credits, general ledger, financial reporting, and payment processing.
  • Understanding of SaaS platforms and their operational models.
  • Ability to pull, analyze, and summarize reports to monitor billing activity.
  • Familiarity with general ledger and payment processing concepts.
  • Experience bridging functional gaps between product, engineering, and finance stakeholders.
  • Detail orientation with strong issue tracking and documentation skills.
  • Zuora platform experience (preferred).
