Position Summary:
The Catalina Foothills School District is seeking a skilled and passionate School Psychologist to join our dedicated team of professionals for the 20252026 school year. This full-time, onsite position will support students across our elementary schools, with a caseload of approximately 50 students at each school. The School Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Student Caseload:

  • Number of Students: Approximately 50 students per school (with two sites for a total of 100 students)

  • Age Range: Elementary-aged students (Kindergarten through 5th grade)

  • Services Provided: Psychoeducational evaluations, individual and group counseling, consultation, and collaboration with teachers, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to support eligibility for special education services and inform IEP development

  • Provide counseling and mental health support for students

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create and implement academic and behavioral interventions

  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student needs

  • Support and implement school-wide social-emotional learning programs and positive behavior interventions

  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

Schedule & Hours:

  • School Hours: 8:00 AM 2:10 PM

  • Work Hours: Choose between 8:00 AM 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM 3:30 PM

  • Full-time position from July 21, 2025 to May 29, 2026

  • Work across two school sites, each with approximately 50 students, providing a manageable caseload for both direct and consultative services

Qualifications:

  • Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

  • Valid Arizona certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligible by start date)

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred

  • Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and intervention strategies

  • Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
