Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule
- Day Shift (Potential Day/Night Rotation Based on Unit Needs)
- 8-Hour Shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 40 Hours per Week
- Every Other Holiday Required
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at a leading academic healthcare facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment, caring for adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring.
The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry interpretation skills, acute care experience, and the ability to adapt quickly within dynamic clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Float to similar acuity units as required based on patient care needs
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and clinical standards
- Support patient education and discharge planning
- Complete EMR documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Active RN License (Ohio or Compact License accepted)
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 18 months prior permanent staff experience in specialty required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong telemetry and ECG rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to pass telemetry rhythm recognition and medication competency assessments
- Comfortable floating to comparable acuity units as needed
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts if operationally required
