Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

  • Day Shift (Potential Day/Night Rotation Based on Unit Needs)
  • 8-Hour Shifts
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 40 Hours per Week
  • Every Other Holiday Required

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at a leading academic healthcare facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment, caring for adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring.

The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry interpretation skills, acute care experience, and the ability to adapt quickly within dynamic clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Float to similar acuity units as required based on patient care needs
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and clinical standards
  • Support patient education and discharge planning
  • Complete EMR documentation accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Active RN License (Ohio or Compact License accepted)
  • Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Minimum 18 months prior permanent staff experience in specialty required
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong telemetry and ECG rhythm interpretation skills
  • Ability to pass telemetry rhythm recognition and medication competency assessments
  • Comfortable floating to comparable acuity units as needed
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts if operationally required
