Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Leesport, PA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contracted position during the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to support student mental health and academic achievement in a vibrant educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and support services to students experiencing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts within the school community
Qualifications:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Pennsylvania certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse educational teams
