Job Description

At HTI, the Training Specialist is a Project Leader in our Workplace Strategies (WPS) division who serves as an expert in coaching, teaching, and advising employees at all levels of an organization on various HR topics and skill sets such as leadership, development, and workforce management. The Training Specialist also plays a critical role in developing and delivering high-level HR projects and initiatives by ensuring the successful execution of HR processes, hiring initiatives, and process improvements at client sites. The Training Specialist in WPS is an HR consultant responsible for leading key projects, driving operational improvements, and maintaining effective client relationships. Success as a Training Specialist in WPS requires strong project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work with cross-functional teams to implement workforce solutions.

As a Training Specialist in WPS, you will take ownership of developing and delivering various client-facing training courses and workshops related to hiring, workforce management, leadership development and process optimization. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver HR solutions that align with business objectives. Your ability to analyze business needs, manage project milestones, and implement continuous improvements will directly contribute to the success of both HTI and its clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Project Leadership & Execution

  • Responsible for leading and completing project plan milestones for any assigned client-facing project assigned to, including but not limited to hiring events, trainings and process development.
  • Manage startups and workforce transitions, ensuring the seamless implementation of hiring functions.
  • Act as primary account owner for assigned WPS projects, overseeing end-to-end execution and client satisfaction.
  • Develop, assess, and maintain detailed project work plans, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Assess project risks and challenges, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Work directly with client leadership, HR teams, and operations teams to align strategies with business goals.
  • Assist in the transition of stabilized projects to Operations or STAT teams when necessary.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, recruitment technologies, and hiring best practices.
  • Build and deliver presentations and reports to varying levels of management when necessary.


Process Management &Continuous Improvement

  • Utilize technical and industry knowledge in HR strategies, workforce planning, and labor management to address complex client challenges.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of methodologies and intellectual capital including contributing to articles, whitepapers, blogs, speaking engagements, and training efforts.
  • Support the development, implementation, and facilitation of training and organizational development (OD) programs tailored to client needs.
  • Facilitate live workshop sessions and coaching in both in-person and virtual formats.
  • Utilize Workplace Strategies tools, including the workplace forensics reports to analyze customer needs and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Administer workplace forensics reports and provide strategic recommendations based on client-specific analysis.
  • Implement and monitor process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Work with branch management and other supporting teams to maintain client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and document business processes, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure and maintain appropriate confidentiality of employee, client and HTI information, and any shared data.


Client & Team Collaboration

  • Support cross functional teams to provide excellent delivery of HR solutions that enable the clients to carry out current and future state business goals
  • Collaborate across internal and external teams to ensure seamless delivery of multi-dimensional HR and training solutions.
  • Maintain timely communication and follow-ups on all assigned tasks, emails, and client requests.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with client leadership, HR departments, and HTI teams.
  • Ensure timely responses to client needs, project milestones, and required deliverables.
  • Conduct presentations and reporting to client leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and assist in proposal development and business expansion efforts.
  • Ability to recognize and present all HTI service lines.
  • Participate in community organizations to position themselves and HTI as thought leaders in the HR and workforce strategy space.


Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and relationship- building.
  • Drive project expansion by identifying opportunities for continued business growth.
  • Support and participate in sales calls, providing HR expertise and project insights to potential and existing clients.
  • Assist with proposal development and contribute to business development strategies.


Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize and continuously optimize project management tools and emerging AI technologies to enhance automation and efficiency.
  • Maintain a high level of competency in using digital tools for project tracking, reporting, and client engagement.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to management, including consulting hours and networking activities.
  • Oversee and manage client billings, including accurate forecasting and timely data entry.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed monthly reports to clients on project progress, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.


Work Environment

  • The role is based out of our corporate office. It also requires regular visits to clients in both an office and manufacturing plant floor setting. Appropriate PPE and attire required based on client specifications.


Travel

  • Some travel (local and overnight) is required to support clients, project implementations, and training initiatives.


What You’ll Bring to the Table


  • Proven experience in training delivery, workshop facilitation, and leadership coaching, with the ability to foster effective team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design and develop customized training content based on client needs.
  • Working knowledge of general HR practices and principles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective client relationship skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels, advise on best practices, and support client satisfaction and retention.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining high attention to detail and timely follow-up.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5-8 days per month (distributed across multiple weeks) to support client engagements, including training delivery, coaching and project implementation.
  • Required BA/BS degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience in HR, training, recruiting, or workforce management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR, workforce management, and/or customer service experience.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP,PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish a major plus.
