Job Overview
NSC Skilled Trades is seeking a Field Supervisor for an upcoming telecom construction project in Crossett, AR. This is an entry-level supervisory opportunity ideal for candidates with a solid construction background who are ready to step into a leadership role.
This role serves as the critical on-site point of contact, with a primary focus on reporting field progress, updates, and issues back to off-site superintendents. It is especially well-suited for individuals with 3–5 years of field experience looking to grow into construction management and gain hands-on exposure to telecom infrastructure projects.
Job Details
- Pay: $30–$35 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
- Duration: 2+ months
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus – Reporting & Communication
- Act as the on-site liaison between field operations and off-site superintendents
- Provide accurate, timely updates on project progress, issues, and milestones
- Document and communicate daily activities, delays, and field conditions
Field Supervision & Operations
- Oversee daily field work and subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence
- Interpret and execute construction plans and specifications
- Enforce site safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
Project Coordination
- Coordinate inspections and assist with project documentation
- Manage scheduling, logistics, and material deliveries
Reporting & Documentation
- Capture daily site photos and track project progress
- Assist in client close-out packages and final documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of construction field experience (leadership experience is a plus, but not required)
- Ability to clearly communicate field conditions to remote leadership
- Experience with commercial or electrical construction preferred
- Strong technical skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and internet tools)
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High school diploma required (trade school or degree is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with around 5 years of experience looking to transition into a supervisory role are strongly encouraged to apply
- Bilingual skills
- OSHA certification or strong safety knowledge
