Responsibilities:
- Use Wilcom embroidery software to digitize logos, artwork, and custom
designs for embroidery. - Collaborate with the design team to interpret artwork and provide input on
embroidery feasibility, stitch count, and fabric application. - Prepare and clean up files for production, ensuring compatibility with
different embroidery machines. - Conduct test runs and make technical adjustments to improve stitch quality,
thread tension, and overall execution. - Maintain an organized archive of embroidery files and associated design
documentation. - Stay current on embroidery trends, stitch techniques, and Wilcom software
updates. - Communicate closely with production staff to ensure accurate
implementation and troubleshoot any file or stitching issues. - Manage multiple digitizing projects under tight deadlines while maintaining
quality standards. - Select appropriate threads, needles, and hoops according to design
specifications - Fix thread breaks and change empty bobbins
- Monitor the machine process to ensure quality, making any adjustments to
settings as needed - Identify any quality issues with designs that are running
- Follow the production plan closely to ensure all embroidery is on schedule
for completion - Order and replenish all necessary embroidery supplies from selected
vendors - Perform routine maintenance tasks on embroidery machines, including
cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles and other components to keep
machines in optimal working condition. - Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or errors, resolving issues
promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the storage areas for
materials and cutting equipment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience digitizing embroidery files using Wilcom Embroidery
Studio (or similar digitizing software). - Strong understanding of stitch types, densities, underlay, pull
compensation, and fabric behavior. - Familiarity with embroidery machines (Tajima, Barudan, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to read, interpret, and adjust art files (AI, EPS, PNG, JPG).
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and file management skills.
- Bonus: Experience with custom apparel, fashion accessories, or golf/leisure
markets.
