*Note: This position is pending award and selection therefore is contingent in nature. This effort is estimated to be awarded mid-August with start dates ranging from mid-September to early October.

RCS is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to be highly motivated and experienced to join our team supporting the Department of the Treasury's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with proven expertise in acquisition management and be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing critical contracting and procurement documentation. This role requires an individual who can effectively collaborate with federal client leads and cross-functional teams to ensure successful acquisition processes.

This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations (Treasury Public Trust) to work onsite in Washington, DC with flexibility for remote work subject to organizational approval. Relocation assistance is not available.

What you will do:

  • Provide comprehensive acquisition management support for OCIO programs, supporting the federal client lead in developing, coordinating, tracking, and storing critical contracting/procurement documentation.
  • Support the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in utilizing Treasurys tracking tool in ServiceNow for processing on/offboarding and PIV renewal packages.
  • Assist in the development of acquisition package materials, including Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and other procurement-related support documentation.
  • Prepare various written contracting/procurement packages, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Utilize computer-based tools, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ServiceNow, to support acquisition tracking, management, and reporting.
  • Provide recommendations on methods to improve administrative procedures and support knowledge management by maintaining contracting/procurement documentation.
  • Maintain and report the status of documentation in various stages of development to ensure timely processing and compliance.


Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Clearance: Active Public Trust security clearance or the ability to obtain, particularly within the Department of the Treasury. Treasury badge strongly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in acquisition management or related field, preferably in a federal government environment.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Treasury's acquisition processes and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a self-starter, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and ServiceNow for documentation management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with government and contractor personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed acquisition strategies and manage complex documentation efficiently.
