Job Title: Machining EQS Associate
Multiple Openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift!
Position Summary
The Machining EQS Associate performs advanced maintenance work across multiple disciplines to ensure machines, equipment, and facility structures are operating at peak performance. This role includes responsibilities such as welding, troubleshooting CNC machines, programming and servicing robotics, PLC programming, and installing or aligning new equipment. The role requires a versatile technician with both mechanical and electrical skills to support operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
Essential Functions
- Repair or replace defective machine components using hand and power tools; reassemble equipment after repairs.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems running efficiently.
- Inspect motors, drives, and belts; check fluid levels, replace filters, and complete checklist-based maintenance.
- Use a variety of tools, including precision instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices.
- Assemble, install, and repair electrical systems, electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by reviewing blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Inspect, test, and operate machinery to identify malfunctions and verify repairs.
- Maintain records of maintenance tasks performed and associated costs.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain moving parts including gears, shafts, and bearings.
- Disassemble equipment using hoists, cranes, and hand tools to access and repair defective components.
- Plan and execute repair work based on diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Adjust and calibrate components using precision tools such as levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Perform metal fabrication and repair using cutting torches and welding equipment.
- Level and align newly installed equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Inspect used or worn parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
- Operate machine tools for the fabrication or repair of machine parts.
- Estimate time and cost for repair tasks.
- Support and achieve company and departmental Health and Safety goals.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC systems, and troubleshooting CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical ladder diagrams and motor control circuits.
