Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist opportunity is available for an engaging contract position in the Kansas City, KS area, serving students across multiple campuses. This in-person role focuses on providing comprehensive psychological testing and support for K-12 students, particularly those with intense disabilities who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or who communicate using assistive technology devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations tailored to the unique needs of students with severe disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop appropriate educational plans.
- Utilize assistive technology and alternative communication methods to facilitate student support.
- Travel as needed between multiple school sites within the district.
- Participate in ongoing case consultations and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential/license.
- Experience working with students with significant disabilities, including non-verbal and physically impaired populations.
- Proficiency in assessment techniques suitable for diverse communication needs.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt to multiple locations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
This position runs from August 12, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and provides an excellent opportunity to impact a diverse student population. Additional caseload details will be shared during the interview process.
