Position Summary: The AV Support Manager, Service Desk will lead audio visual support for Peace Corps headquarters-based events and AV-supported spaces. This position is responsible for AV event readiness, proactive equipment testing, AV issue resolution, vendor coordination, platform maintenance support, upgrade validation, user training, AV documentation, and AV reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support HQ-based AV events during core business hours.
- Perform proactive testing and analysis of AV equipment, rooms, and related systems.
- Coordinate planned and unplanned AV platform maintenance and upgrades with the DOI AV vendor.
- Identify and validate AV hardware and software upgrade needs.
- Troubleshoot AV issues involving conference rooms, meeting platforms, displays, audio systems, cameras, control systems, and related equipment.
- Provide AV user training, quick-start guides, and room-use instructions.
- Coordinate directly with AV vendors for issues requiring external support.
- Prepare ad hoc AV status reports, issue summaries, and readiness updates.
- Support executive meetings, high-visibility events, and hybrid meeting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise, government, conference center, training room, or executive AV environments.
- Experience with AV event support, room readiness checks, AV troubleshooting, equipment testing, vendor coordination, and user support.
- Knowledge of common AV platforms, conferencing technologies, display systems, audio systems, control systems, and room-support procedures.
- Ability to support both proactive AV readiness and urgent AV issue resolution.
- Strong customer-service skills for executive, event, and meeting support.
Education & Experience
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, Electronics, Communications Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
Required Certification
- Preferred: CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco collaboration, CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+ certification.
