This is a hybrid role (3 days in, 2 days remote). Must live commutable to Melville, Long Island.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven experience handling full-cycle accounts payable processes. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
- Review and verify invoice accuracy, completeness, and required approvals.
- Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) in a timely manner.
- Manage accounts payable for multiple entities and vendors.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounts payable records.
- Process due invoices and organize payments for approval.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses.
- Perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling accounts.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
