Job Opportunity: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Home Health Agency
Location: Richmond, VA
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Work with patients to improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve greater independence.
  • Provide direct patient care in the home setting, including therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and adaptive equipment training.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate observations and updates to the supervising OT.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards in home health therapy services.

Qualifications:


  • Current and valid COTA certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, preferably in home health.
  • Knowledge of home health care procedures, patient assessment, and therapy techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
