We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner NP to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. This is a part time position. 19 hours weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and guide treatment of patients with mental health diagnoses
- Perform functions of mental health nursing for agency patients under the supervision of agency's psychiatrist
- Participate in review and revision of protocols in implementation of patients' medical plans of care
- Provide counsel to patients regarding mental health and illness issues
- Create and maintain accurate records using electronic health record system
- Communicate with collaborating therapists, case managers and healthcare providers regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- KS Licensed, in good standing
