Job Type: Contract to hire Location: Norcross, GA (Fully on-site)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (OT is mandatory when required)
Pay: $17/hr. Position Overview Technicians will primarily perform plug-and-play testing, and—when properly trained or experienced—may also complete actual device repairs. This role also includes data entry in Oracle, the system of record. Oracle or repair experience is a plus, but not required. This hands-on position plays a key role in maintaining service quality, reducing downtime, and supporting efficient device processing. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform plug-and-play testing on devices to verify functionality.
- Diagnose issues with computers, laptops, and other hardware, including performance problems, software malfunctions, and component failures.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning hardware components (e.g., drives, memory, screens, power supplies) when qualified or trained.
- Perform hardware upgrades such as adding RAM or upgrading processors.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, drivers, and applications.
- Inspect incoming devices for damage or defects before repairs begin.
- Accurately complete data entry in Oracle for all processed devices.
- Document repair findings and communicate with Project Leads as needed.
- Provide troubleshooting support for technical issues that arise after repairs.
- Repackage and label repaired devices for shipment.
- Follow established processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous electronics repair or IT support experience preferred.
- Experience with Oracle or other warehouse/repair systems is a plus.
- Comfortable working with handheld devices, hardware components, and software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Soldering experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications welcomed.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Able to handle small tools and components with precision.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a technology repair environment and adhering to safety protocols.
