Essential Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS or TNCC preferred)
- Strong assessment, triage, and crisis management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients of all ages, identifying urgent and emergent needs per ESI standards
- Deliver direct care using both invasive and non-invasive procedures, focusing on life-threatening and routine emergencies
- Develop rapport and provide compassionate communication and comfort to patients and families throughout their care
- Document and intervene appropriately based on primary and secondary assessments
- Identify and address psychosocial and cultural needs, advocating for patient safety and reporting suspicions of abuse
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, building mutual trust and respect to support optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care, tailoring sessions for understanding and retention
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention policies and safeguard public safety
