CNC LATHE MACHINIST - AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setup and operating CNC machinery and possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing precision parts and components while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will be working in a clean, temperature-controlled shop on new CNC machines with the latest features and technologies.

Duties

    \n
  • Set up and operation of CNC multifunction turn twin spindle and twin or triple turret lathes. (mostly Nakamura).
  • \n

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
  • \n

  • Operate Nakamura/Fanuc controls
  • \n

  • Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.
  • \n

  • Conduct inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.
  • \n

  • Experience in Aerospace shop and a wide variety of gauges is a plus.
  • \n

  • Programming experience is a plus.
  • \n

Qualifications

  • Proficient in basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • \n

  • Experience with CAD software is preferred for programming purposes.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of GD&T principles is essential for quality assurance.
  • \n

  • Previous experience operating lathes and other CNC machinery is required.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control.
  • \n

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • \n

  • 3-5 years minimum experience required.
  • \n
