Job DescriptionCarpenter: Forreston, IllinoisOur customer in Forreston, Illinois is seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join their team. We’re recruiting Carpenters to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in residential and commercial building projects, including remodeling work and deck construction. If you have hands-on experience with building, remodeling, or structural projects—this could be the opportunity for you!Responsibilities of the Carpenter:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine deck or remodel layout.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood, composite, or metal materials for construction projects.
- Install posts, beams, trusses, joists, railings, and decking boards based on design plans.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to construct and finish structures.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors or clients to ensure expectations are met.
- Perform site clean-up and general maintenance upon project completion.
- Work on a variety of projects including remodeling, bathrooms, decks, and trusses.
Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior hands-on carpentry or remodeling experience required.
- Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and building techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more consistently throughout the day.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day).
- Must be dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Pay for Carpenter: $18.00–$20.00/hour depending on experience.Carpenter Benefits:
