Plant Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $140,000 - $191,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met.
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing plant team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee engagement.
  • Implement and enforce all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Ensure product quality meets specified standards and customer requirements through robust quality control processes.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and reliability programs to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field
  • 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years as a Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager
  • Proven track record in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, optimize production processes, and lead large, diverse teams
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality systems (e.g., ISO), and environmental compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Proven experience with Industry 4.0 technologies or advanced automation implementation
  • Track record of successful new product introduction (NPI) and scale-up initiatives
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the company's workforce or global operations
