OverviewAs a Medical Assistant, you'll be working side-by-side with our providers, assisting with patient care from start to finish. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain valuable experience and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and sanitize exam rooms
  • Stock clinic supplies and equipment
  • Room patients, verify demographics, and obtain medical history
  • Measure vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate)
  • Assist with injections, phlebotomy, and catheterization
  • Assist the provider with in-office procedures
  • Review provider's voicemails and emails for patient communication
  • Communicate with patients as needed for follow-up care
  • Present urgent patient matters to the provider
  • Update patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines


Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Assisting degree or CNA certification preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification (required within 1 year of hire)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current on required vaccinations
  • EMR software experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to commute to Sherwood
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (THC not included)


Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00AM/8:00AM - 5:00PM/6:00PM) Based on Patient Appointments
Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 Hourly
