Full-Time Pediatric Dental Hygienist

Brooker Memorial is a patient-focused, non-profit dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality pediatric dental care to children throughout Litchfield County. Our mission is to create a positive, welcoming dental experience for children, ensuring they develop lifelong healthy oral hygiene habits. Our services are offered at our state-of-the-art Torrington clinic as well as through our school-based dental programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, patient-centered dental hygiene care in a child-friendly environment.
- Perform cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications.
- Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
- Demonstrate empathy and respect while working with children of all ages, including those with special healthcare needs.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records.
- Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay up to date on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be a licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience working with children is preferred; a passion for pediatric dentistry is a must!
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and reassure young patients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following hours:
- Monday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM 4:00 PM
