Medicare Performance Strategy & Transformation Leader
Job Description
Help shape the future of Medicare performance. We are seeking a strategic, data-driven leader who can connect analytics, execution, and enterprise priorities to improve performance across the Medicare business. This is an opportunity to turn complex insights into clear action, influence cross-functional decisions, and help advance a financially sound, operationally reliable, compliant, and market-competitive Medicare strategy.
Why This Role Matters
Medicare is evolving quickly, and success requires disciplined execution, sharp performance visibility, and the ability to translate data into decisions. In this role, you will serve as a key strategic partner—helping define priorities, strengthen governance, identify performance gaps, and drive measurable improvement across financial, operational, quality, and growth dimensions.
What You’ll Lead
- Performance management and reporting: Define, monitor, and evolve KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting aligned to Medicare segment goals.
- Strategic execution: Partner with leaders to shape Medicare priorities, investment decisions, long-term direction, and execution plans.
- Performance improvement: Conduct gap analyses, identify root causes, and drive remediation initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Executive insights: Translate complex analytics into concise, decision-ready recommendations, risks, opportunities, and presentations.
- Cross-functional governance: Lead performance forums, align stakeholders, establish priorities, and create accountability for milestone delivery.
- Growth and market analysis: Evaluate sales channel performance, enrollment forecasting, product competitiveness, and market positioning.
What You Bring
- Deep Medicare experience, including products, regulations, economics, competitors, and key performance drivers.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L tracking, enrollment forecasting, and performance diagnostics.
- Experience building dashboards, scorecards, business cases, prioritization frameworks, and executive-level presentations.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Access, SQL, or similar data tools is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for using AI-enabled solutions, including Copilot, to enhance speed, quality, and impact.
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; MBA or master’s degree preferred.
- 10–12+ years of progressive healthcare experience with increasing scope and responsibility.
- 5+ years of Medicare experience preferred.
- Management consulting, structured problem-solving, project management, or enterprise performance experience strongly valued.
- Project Management certification preferred.
Who Thrives Here
You are energized by ambiguity, grounded in data, and motivated by impact. You can move from strategy to execution, simplify complex information, and bring stakeholders together around clear priorities. You are equally comfortable building an executive narrative, diagnosing performance drivers, and rolling up your sleeves to advance the work.
