Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A clinical nursing role is available on a Med/Surg unit in the Manchester area, offering a rewarding opportunity to apply a broad skill set in patient care with a 48-bed capacity and an average census of 27 patients. This contract position is located in a main hospital setting and involves working alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a supportive environment equipped with modern technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and deliver orthopedic care
  • Manage IV medication administration, including drips for Lasix, heparin, and IV push medications such as metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin
  • Perform wound care, including drain and vacuum-assisted closure management
  • Provide care for NGT/G tube, parenteral nutrition, central lines (PICC/HD catheter/midlines), and various catheter types (foley, nephrostomy, suprapubic)
  • Support postoperative patient care and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) Monday through Friday
  • Collaborate with team members to promote patient care excellence

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Solid experience in Med/Surg nursing skillset
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems (Altera/Allscripts Sunrise preferred)
  • Ability to float to similar MST units as needed

Work Schedule:

  • Every other week (EOW) 12-hour shifts preferred
  • Day and night shifts with patient ratios averaging 1:5 days and 1:6 nights
