A clinical nursing role is available on a Med/Surg unit in the Manchester area, offering a rewarding opportunity to apply a broad skill set in patient care with a 48-bed capacity and an average census of 27 patients. This contract position is located in a main hospital setting and involves working alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a supportive environment equipped with modern technology.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and deliver orthopedic care
- Manage IV medication administration, including drips for Lasix, heparin, and IV push medications such as metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin
- Perform wound care, including drain and vacuum-assisted closure management
- Provide care for NGT/G tube, parenteral nutrition, central lines (PICC/HD catheter/midlines), and various catheter types (foley, nephrostomy, suprapubic)
- Support postoperative patient care and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) Monday through Friday
- Collaborate with team members to promote patient care excellence
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification
- Solid experience in Med/Surg nursing skillset
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems (Altera/Allscripts Sunrise preferred)
- Ability to float to similar MST units as needed
Work Schedule:
- Every other week (EOW) 12-hour shifts preferred
- Day and night shifts with patient ratios averaging 1:5 days and 1:6 nights
