Calibration Technician | East Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine calibrations on a variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
- Document calibration results, maintain accurate records, and update calibration tracking systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot out-of-tolerance instruments, performing adjustments or minor repairs as needed.
- Develop, review, and revise calibration procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain calibration standards and reference equipment, ensuring their accuracy and traceability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and support manufacturing schedules.
- Adhere strictly to industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1) and internal quality procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Metrology) preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related technical role
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various test and measurement equipment
- Solid understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025)
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documents and calibration procedures
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CMMS or other asset management software.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 requirements for calibration laboratories.
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Excel macros) for calibration data trending.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on test and measurement equipment.
